Drilling Skill Areas
- Well Planning
- Develop and Implement a methodology for “technical limits” well planning in order to establish good drilling performance benchmarks
- Develop a well data acquisition program for deepwater wells that acquires the required data at an acceptable cost
- Improving Drilling Performance
- Review and evaluation of Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient data
- Evaluate drilling fluids
- Optimize simultaneous operations
- Review and Improve logistics operations
- Participate in Drill Well On Paper (DWOP) methodology designed to obtain proper input and “buy in” from the drilling contractors and service companies in the deepwater well plans
- Advise and assist to develop “functional specifications” for drilling contracts
Development Skill Areas
- Conceptual Design: We work with our clients to understand project and define project goals and to identify the preferred solution to achieve those goals
- Engineering: Our technical experts work with third party engineering companies to optimize project costs and schedule and to minimize execution and operation risks
- Fabrication / Construction: Our technical experts and QA/QC staff work closely with each supplier to ensure all equipment is delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-spec
- Installation: Our team addresses all interface issues, establishes installation procedures and conducts extensive contingency planning to minimize the impact of weather and other unusual events
- Commissioning & Start-Up: Our team works with key client personnel to prepare documents and to conduct the necessary training to make Commissioning & Start-Up go smoothly
- Support On-going Operations: We continue to support our clients after first oil. Our experts provide on-going technical and operational support as required
- Government/Regulatory Compliance: We work with client and governmental personnel to secure HS&E and operational approvals
